Who's Who in the Philippines Awards
The DANGAL NG BAYAN AWARD or the DBA Award (Who's Who in the Philippines Award) is the Grand Tribute to Outstanding & World-Class Filipino Achievers and Outstanding Consumer Products & Companies.
The project is organized by the Who's Who in the Philippines Foundation (WWPF)jointly with the National Consumer Affairs Foundation (NCAF).
One of the highlights of the event is the updated publication of the DANGAL NG BAYAN and Who's Who in the Philippines Yearbook containing brief profiles of World-Class Filipino Achievers and Consumer Products & Companies, as well as the publication of the VARIETY Newsmagazine Special Supplement (www.varietynewsmagazine.com).
The regular event's theme is: "Building a Nation of World-Class Filipino Achievers.
OBJECTIVES & MISSION
DANGAL NG BAYAN Awards Committee and Who's Who in the Philippines Foundation have been significantly recognizing the accomplishments of outstanding Filipino achievers in public service, sports, education, business and other major professional fields, who have contributed and enhanced their God-given talents and skills towards nation-building.
Thru public recognition, the project envisions to motivate the Filipinos to further excel in their chosen fields for the rest of the citizenry to emulate. Event proceeds will benefit the DAMAYAN Youth Livelihood & Social Justice Advocacy Program and other civic projects of the National Consumer Affairs Foundation (NCAF) and the Who's Who in the Philippines Foundation (WWPF).

The awardees or honorees are classified into:
I. DANGAL NG BAYAN (WHO’S WHO IN THE PHILIPPINES) SECTORAL AWARDS
A. GOLDEN SCROLL AWARD (GSA) for achievers above 50 years old
B. HUWARANG PILIPINO AWARD (HPA) or MODEL ACHIEVER AWARD (MAA)
for achievers between 41 and 49 years old;
C. YOUNG PROFESSIONAL AWARD (YPA) for achievers between 25 and 40 years old;
D. YOUNG ACHIEVER AWARD (YAA) for achievers between 7 and 23 years old.
II. DANGAL NG BAYAN (WHO’S WHO IN THE PHILIPPINES) SPECIAL CITATIONS
A. TOP ENTERTAINER AWARD (TEA) for outstanding achievers in the field of
arts & entertainment. Categories include: Entertainer of the Year, Best Recording Artist,
Best Concert Artist, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best TV Host and other descriptive
titles connoting specific distinctions.
B. HUMANITARIAN SERVICE AWARD (HSA) for outstanding achievers in the field of
socio-civic and humanitarian service endeavor. .
C. TEODORA ALONZO AWARD FOR EDUCATION (TAAE) for outstanding achievers
in the field of education.
PROJECT BENEFICIARIES
Sponsors and supporters are enjoined to place ads in the Variety Newsmagazine Special Event Supplement (www.varietynewsmagazine.com) to commemorate the event, as well as extend sponsorship in the live presentation of the affair.
The proceeds of the project will benefit the DAMAYAN Youth Livelihood & Advocacy Programs of the Who’s Who in the Philippines Foundation and the National Consumer Affairs Foundation. Corporate and individual sponsorships and donations are also earmarked to finance the preparation of the event, as well as the printing of the publication of the newspaper and airing of the special television episode of DANGAL NG BAYAN “ASENSO PINOY” aired on NBN-4 and IBC-13.
